To be a Personal Licence Holder in Scotland you must first take this online course.

The SCPLH (Scottish Certificate For Personal Licence Holders) Course gains you the qualification needed to apply for your personal licence in Scotland, which is essential if your role requires that you authorise alcohol sales, including designated premises managers, retail managers, restaurant and bar managers and any other persons that want to progress into these positions.

The course is split into two stages:

Stage 1 – Online Training Course:

Upon booking you will be given access to the online personal licence course, this course contains all the learning necessary to move onto stage two, the SCPLH exam. The course can be taken at your own leisure with the ability to stop and start as you please, once the course is complete, learners will be able to progress to stage 2.

Stage 2 – Online BIIAB SCPLH Assessment:

The exam is multiple choice and will take 60 mins. Once the SCPLH assessment has been passed you will receive a BIIAB certificate of qualification (this is what you need to apply for a personal licence)

This is an e-learning course so can be taken from the comfort of your own home or anywhere with internet access at a time convenient to you. All’s you will need is access to a computer with a camera and a quiet space to take the exam.
